Are you ready to continue our Bedroom Decorating posts? I love how my guest bedroom is turning out! I feel like things are definitely taking longer with this room due to my busy schedule but I’m still having fun with it! A lot of the furniture pieces came in from Amazon this past week. So starting the furnishing process has been really fun! I still have a couple weeks to go before it’s done but I’ll get there! This is part 4 of the ORC series. The challenge is to get a room done in 6 weeks – but I will need 7-8 weeks to get this done.
Last week I showed you how to create this easy and awesome white washed brick wall!
This week we primed the planked walls. Then painted them with Benjamin Moor paint in color “Chantilly Lace”. We just did one coat of paint. We will be doing the second coat and the trim next week!
This week electrical was installed in the room and lighting was *almost* all the way installed, you can see that only one light sconce has been installed right now. We ran into a problem with the light switches, they didn’t go to the power for the lights like I thought they did. So I will have to find a solution!
Next week I’m planning to make the lights above the bed shorter and change out the bulbs to clear ones.
Find this trendy bedside table here.
I love this grey fabric chair! It can fit so many different decor types. Find it here.
Most of the furniture arrived from Amazon so we put it together (well, mostly my sweet husband put it together)! I still have a few things coming so stay tuned next week to see how it all came together!
The bed frame looks fabulous! Can you believe it is under $200?
Doesn’t this desk look like it is made of real wood? Well, it is actually MDF – but looks great and was only $176. Sturdy metal legs tie the desk to the bed frame and other furniture perfectly.
A woven natural rug adds fantastic texture into the room.
I love the different textures incorporated into the room:
- Planked Walls
- Brick walls
- This gorgeous large natural rug (which yes, came from Amazon! Can you believe it?)
