How to Make a Pretty Fairy Party Necklace

     Fairy Tea Party peony necklace

In addition to the fairy party wings and headband we shared yesterday, any cute little fairy should have a pretty fairy necklace, right?! But buying a necklace for each guest at your party can get expensive. We created a simple but pretty fairy necklace for pennies that doubles as an activity or craft for party guests as well.

Fairy Party peony necklace supplies - a cute and inexpensive activity

    Supplies needed for fairy necklace:

    • Peony blooms printable (download it HERE)
    • Scissors
    • Ribbon
    • Paper punch
    • Gold glitter glue (not required)

The first step in creating your fairy necklaces is to print and cut out the peony blooms (download them HERE). Cut out enough blooms so that each party guest can add 3-5 blooms to their necklace. You will want to do this beforehand so that they are ready when guests arrive. If you would like to add a little sparkle to your peony blooms, use some gold glitter glue to the blooms and let dry completely.

Next, use your paper punch to make holes in each of the blooms – approximately ¼ of the way down from the top of the bloom.

To make it easier to thread the blooms onto the ribbon, wrap a piece of tape around the end of the ribbon. The party guests can then easily thread the blooms onto the ribbon to create their necklace.

Knot ribbon in between peony blooms for a little added flair.
