Supplies
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup beeswax or soy pellets
- 2-3 drops tea tree essential oil
- 2-3 drops lavender essential oil
- 2-3 drops frankincense essential oil
- 2-3 drops lemon essential oil
- 2-3 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- Add 2-3 drops of soap color if you like.
- 1-ounce metal or plastic container
Instructions
Step 1
Add the coconut oil to a medium glass bowl. Add olive oil to the bowl.
Step 2
Add your beeswax or soy wax to bowl and heat in 30 second increments until the contents are melted. Whisk or stir ingredients together.
Step 3
Add your essential oils to the bowl. Add 2-3 drops tea tree essential oil. Add soap color if you like.
Step 4
Add 2-3 drops lavender essential oil.
Step 5
Add 2-3 drops frankincense essential oil.
Step 6
Add 2-3 drops lemon essential oil.
Step 7
Add 2-3 drops eucalyptus essential oil.
Step 8
Portion your salve into your container. It will solidify as it cools.
Step 9
Store in a cool place so your salve won’t melt in higher temperatures. You can use the salve for minor cuts and scrapes, minor burns, dry patches of skin or for diaper rash.
