Most of my life I have lived close to the beach! As a child, I lived in Australia and the beach could be seen from our home one block away. It was only a 1 minute walk until my toes hit the sand. Back when we were in California it was a 10 minute drive. And there have been times when I can see the ocean from our home. All our children were born in a beach community. Now, however, I live VERY far from the beach. Anytime I go back to California or a place that has the ocean, my request is to go hang out at the beach and see the ocean waves.
The Michaels Makers challenge for June is a Summer Party Challenge. What a great way to bring the beach to me but to create a Beach Tablescape Summer Celebration. It was very easy to do considering the beautiful beach items that Michaels carries. Sand, seashells, starfish, beach glass and lots of beach decor made it a breeze to plan out.
From paper crafts, party goods and baking supplies to new outdoor lighting, glass and floral, Michaels is your DIY destination for all of your summer celebrations.
The seagrass decorative charger and the whale table decor add the beach touch! We were challenged last year to create a denim project. You can see my indoor picnic using denim plates. I’m using the plates again here for the beach tablescape.
The hanging table was recently created for my patio. It looks so pretty with all the beach decor! The stunning beach pillows are from Michaels.
Evening pictures and daytime pictures were taken so you can see the difference in what type of celebration you might want to have. Enjoying the beach table scene on a warm summer night can almost make you feel like you’re there! Put on some ocean waves or beach music to create the perfect summer ambiance.
Every seashell has a story! So, true. We all have stories. I would love to read about the life of a seashell and it’s adventures!
