Do you want a Summer ice cream treat everyone will go Bananas over?
What if it only has 3 ingredients, the kids can help you make it,
it is full of creamy flavor and it’s so much fun to eat?
Banana Cream Pie Pops are the perfect combination of
the classic pie and a cool ice cream treat!
You simply need bananas,
softened vanilla ice cream and graham crackers…
gently combine the bananas and ice cream…
fill a parchment lined dish, top with more slices and freeze…
remove from freezer after set,
then get crumbled crackers, a knife and popsicle sticks ready…
sprinkle perimeter with graham crackers and press them down gently so they adhere…
Slice into triangles and insert popsicle stick.
I then place them on parchment lined plate and back into the freezer,
at least an hour, until ready to serve.
You could use the same technique with your favorite ingredients…
cherry, apple, coconut.
Really, the “Pie’s” the Limit!
Banana Cream Pie Pops
to make 4 big pops or 6 small pops
You will need:
8″ pie pan or deep frying pan
popsicle sticks
parchment paper
3 cups of your favorite softened ice cream
2 sliced bananas
graham cracker crumbles
Gently combine ice cream and 1 of the bananas sliced. Place the mixture into your pan, lined with parchment so the paper extends out of the pan… this will ensure you can easily lift your pie out of the pan. Top with the 2nd sliced banana and place in the freezer over night or at least 8 hours. Remove from freezer, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs around the perimeter of your pie to look like crust. Press crumbs down gently so they adhere to ice cream and bananas. With a sharp knife, dipped in warm water, cut your pie into slices (re-dipping in warm water with each slice so you get a clean cut). Quickly place slice on a parchment lined plate and insert popsicle stick. Place slices back in freezer at least an hour before serving.
