One of my favorite things to receive at Christmas are cards and letters from our family and friends. I found a way to share these cards and I really love the look of my vintage farmhouse Christmas card display.
Since we’ve moved several times over the years, I especially love all the photo cards! It’s wonderful to see how friends have changed over time.
I found an old vintage mattress spring. It looks like it was used in a baby crib. I attached holiday cards to the crib spring with wooden clothes pins.
I placed the mattress spring onto my entry table and leaned it against the wall. Christmas greenery and ribbon were used to decorate the top of the crib spring.
I used this same crib spring for decor when my home was photographed for Christmas and published in a magazine. Check out how I used the springs in a different way.
Over the years I’ve displayed the holiday cards in various ways. One year I clipped holiday cards onto a set of 3 small Christmas trees. There were only lights and cards on the trees. Another time I attached holiday cards onto garland.
Besides displaying with a vintage farmhouse Christmas card theme, other ways to display holiday cards:
Use fancy tape to adhere to walls or doors
I’m really loving the way this Christmas card holder turned out.
I created a secret room where all my holiday decor was stored. The most fun thing about this secret room is the sliding wall (I give details on how this was done.). So behind this holiday card display is a sliding wall. I have had many visitors that never knew there was a secret room. They loved it when I showed them the shiplap sliding wall.
So how do you like the vintage farmhouse Christmas card display?
