Christy from Itsy Belle created this really fun vintage baseball party and my favorite thing about it is that she created it for her 79 year old grandpa who still plays up to 3 games of softball a day during baseball season – amazing!
The other thing I love about this party is that Christy created the event in only a few days and on a fairly small budget! Yes, it can be done ladies!! The key is to use store bought items, dress them up and then use things you already have or borrow from friends to decorate!
Christy’s inspiration for the party started with a vintage baseball poster and from there she created all of the printable paper elements to match. What a great invitation to set the party’s theme.
Desserts included store bought cupcakes, cake pops from Starbucks & chocolate dipped Oreos decorated to look like baseballs. The Hot Dog On a Stick are my absolute favorite – Twinkies with red icing!! And you can’t have a vintage baseball party without popcorn and Cracker Jacks, right?! Guests took home vintage glass bottles of Coke tied with a pennant embellished straw – darling!
To decorate for the event, Christy used some fun polka dot balloons, paper medallions left over from the 4th of July and a great carnation centerpiece that looked like a baseball. Other fitting decor included bowls of peanuts, printable signs and a paper medallion banner with grandpa’s name on it.
The printable paper elements are what really make this party so great – Christy created the vintage baseball theme just perfectly! All of the printable items can be purchased in Christy’s Etsy shop.
