Hi Design Dazzle readers! My name is Tauni and I am so excited to be sharing a quick holiday project as a part of Christmas Wonderful this year.
I am absolutely obsessed with fancy gift tags. Typically I scour post-holiday sales for deals on pretty tags I can hang on to. Last year, I didn’t make it out to the shops in time and so this year I am making my own!

This year I am using a lot of office supplies in my gift wrap. I’m using up old supplies and saving money all at the same time.
About a year ago, I purchased a bunch of office supply shipping tags. They’re a great deal (less than five cents a piece) and can be used for so many different projects – from organization and storage to gift packaging.
I decided to grab a few and embellish them with some craft supplies to create simple holly berry gift tags.
First I cut a short length of ribbon. I folded it in half and stapled it to the tag to simulate the holly berry leaves.
I used my mini stapler and some great green colored staples to anchor the ribbon to the tag.
The berries are just “candy dots” purchased from the scrapbooking isle in the craft store. They’re older basics and can often be found for a great deal!
After that, I just added a little bit of baker’s twine so that it could be tied to the package.
Such an easy project and really, the tags are fantastic!
You could easily replicate this project using other supplies around the house, like buttons, if you couldn’t find the candy dots.
