This gorgeous modern farmhouse home shows you that its possible to have a modern home with a farmhouse flare. Don’t miss the unique wall treatment and simple details in this home tour!
I recently attended a blogging event in this modern farmhouse during the 2016 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. This home is number 23 on the tour and was built by Foster Custom Homes with interior design by Osmond Designs. This home was custom built for a family that needed wheelchair accessibility so you will notice wide spaces, hard flooring and some low counters to accommodate a wheelchair.
I absolutely love some of the statement pieces in this house so I have linked some of them below if you want to style them in your own home!
I love this unique wall treatment! It adds so much character and texture and would be pretty simple to DIY!
I need this quote in my home except mine would say, “Nothing is really lost until your wife can’t find it!”
This framed cotton is such a simple and pretty idea. I love how it brings the outdoors in and fits perfectly with the architecture and design of the home.
I just love the tile back splash in this kitchen. It is reminiscent of a country quilt! It came from Overstock.
I was inspired by the decor and wall treatments in this home and think many of them could be great DIY projects! It would be so easy to frame dried plants from around your home to add a unique wall hanging. The aged wood wall treatment would be another fun project, although a bit more work and I just love this simple wooden crate with its humorous stencil!

What a beautiful home! I do like the look of the wood wall treatment. But, all I can think about is the dusting involved in keeping it beautiful…

I love your website! So much inspiration! I absolutely LOVE the shadow box framed cotton blossoms! Any idea where this can be purchased?
Thanks so much in advance! Have a great day!

Hello!
The shadow box is super cool. I do not know where it was purchased from. But you can make your own pretty easily. You can purchase cotton stems here (aff link): https://amzn.to/2ij8g0H cotton stems or shadow boxes https://amzn.to/2vQdmpJ
You can also find both of these at craft stores.
Have fun!

I love the modern farmhouse look. I noticed the table napkins with possible dinner time sayings and wondered what they all said. Any idea? Thanks for your inspirations.

Hi Joanne!
I remember those napkins! Super cute. I just don’t remember what they said – except for the two that show the sayings in the picture. Sorry, I wish I could help out more!
Thanks for asking!

I love both the inside and what outside of these homes. I could see my family and I living in either one of them. Thanks for sharing
