    Interactive Felt Snowman Face

    interactive-felt-snowman

Hello, friends! I have a fun holiday project to share today that your little ones will not only love to play with, but they can probably help you create it, too! I’m going to show you how to create this fun interactive felt snowman face.

By the way, I’m Michele, and I blog over at The Scrap Shoppe. I’m the mommy of two little boys that love when they can get involved in my crafting.

Making this felt snowman face could not be easier.

You will need felt in various colors including white, black, and orange.

Trim the white felt down to 8″ x 10″. My white felt is actually that stiff glittery white felt, though its difficult to tell from the photo. Cut (or have your child cut out) two coal eyes, 5 pieces of coal for the mouth, a carrot nose, and any other facial features you think would be fun to add. I also cut lips, a mustache, bow tie, and holly.

I made a little origami box with some festive Christmas paper to hold the extra felt pieces not being used. You can find the tutorial for making the box here.

Place the white felt in an 8 x 10 frame. This chalkboard frame I painted is perfect for this project.

The best thing about felt? Not only is it soft and perfect for little hands, but its sticks to itself.

You can sit the frame upright and place the facial features on the snowman and they won’t fall off.

My little guy had a blast putting different faces on our snowman! I can already tell we are going to have to make even more facial features for him to play with.

I love that I can have a piece of holiday decor out that my little ones can play with. There are so many things that they are only allowed to look at. And we can leave this snowman out all winter long!

Thanks so much for having me over, Toni!

This series is one of my favorites and I always find so many fun projects to do with my boys.

    Y’all come visit me sometime!
