    Homemade Play Dough Recipe

Hi there! I’m Ginger from over at GingerSnapCrafts.com, & I’m so excited to be here at Design Dazzle taking part in this awesome Summer Camp series! I have 5 kiddos, so I am always looking for fun things for them to do! I’m enjoying seeing all the fun ideas that have been shared so far, & I can’t wait to see the rest. Today I’d love to share a fun summer activity that do every single year ~ homemade play dough! This homemade play dough recipe is amazing & so easy to make!

Several years ago my 2nd oldest son brought this recipe home from school. We made a bunch, and we were hooked. This has been our go to play dough recipe ever since then. It’s soft, easy to work with & you can make so many fun colors. You can also store it covered in the refrigerator & use it again & again over several days.

    You will need:

    • 4 cups flour
    • 1 cup salt
    • 4 tablespoon oil
    • 1 and ½ cups water
    • Food coloring

First, mix the oil, water and food coloring together. Next, add the flour and salt. Then mix until pliable. You can just use your hands to do that part. Cover in the refrigerator until ready to play.

*Tip: This recipe makes a bunch. You will have four good sized balls of play dough. You might want to cut the recipe in half if you don’t need quite that much.

My kiddos got out the googly eyes this year, and made some adorable starfish. So cute! I love letting my kids use their imaginations. They always come up with some fun ideas. 🙂

For more fun things to do this summer you can check out my blog right here.

Thank you so much for having me over today.
I hope to see you around soon!
