Hi there! I’m Keisha from Cupcake Wishes & Birthday Dreams and I gotta tell you, Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, especially when it comes to making all the things. I love gathering all my craft supplies and coming up with fun ideas to create décor and gifts. One of my favorite materials to work with is yarn! A yarn wrapped Christmas tree is a fun alternative to setting up a traditional full-size Christmas tree or just a fun way to display your holiday collectibles.
I decided to create a way to showcase decorative trees that I’ve collected over the years along with implementing some fun crafted trees using a variety of different types of yarn. You can recreate this look on your own.
This is such an easy craft to make. Simply find different cone shaped forms or use cardboard or wooden Christmas tree cutouts and wrap them in yarn.
You can secure everything in place with hot or craft glue. Use different colors and textures of yarn to create a variety of styled trees. Once wrapped you can accent each tree with bells, string, ribbon, pompoms or gems.
After decorating your trees, Set them atop risers or stands at varying heights to create movement and more visual interest. Place them along a tabletop or fireplace mantle to highlight your holiday space and enjoy! This type of décor works great and small spaces or creating a festive vignette. Gathered together they look like a small Christmas tree garden!
Thanks to Toni for once again having me join in on the fun this holiday season. Please be sure to follow me on social media at @cwbdparties! Happy Holidays!
