If you love the vintage Halloween newspaper print look, then you will love this DIY Vintage Halloween Banner Printable. Of course the printable could be used for multiple decor ideas but I love the look of hanging as a banner. If you want to get this look we have the list of materials and the easy steps to help you make your own. The cost for the entire set of printables is $5. This includes all six designs 8.5 x 11 size, six 5″ x 7″ sizes and six 5″ x 7″ reverse type for iron-on decal. These can be printed on your home printer and are for personal use only. Instructions for assembly are below.
Materials:
– Printable Download (scroll to bottom of post to purchase)
– Cream Cardstock
– Scissors or Paper Cutter
– Ribbon
– Cute little Halloween Trinkets (We chose black glittery spider webs.)
– Hot Glue Gun
Steps:
1. Print out the images you want to use in your banner.
2. Cut them down leaving some extra paper at the top of the image.
3. Fold down the extra paper on the top for a flap.
4. Hot glue the flap to the ribbon. Be sure to leave about 2 inches of space between the different images.
5. Glue the extra Halloween trinkets between the images. We glued the spiderwebs in between.
So does that sound like a super easy project? I know that it took us about 10 minutes to cut out and assemble. Not only is it totally perfect for Halloween but it doesn’t take too many materials or too much of your time!
How about framing the printables? This frame was purchase at the thrift store and painted. Glitter was added to the owl print (hard to see in the image).
Another way to use the printables is make it into a “book”. An inexpensive book from a garage sale was used. Open the book and glue the page edges with mod podge. Print and cut out the images you would like to use. Glue the images to the open book. Add ribbon on the top and bottom edges and as a bookmark down the middle. Took all of about 10 minutes to make. Drying time took longer.
