Christmas Themed Veggie Tray Instructions
Step 1: You’ll want to cut the broccoli {or green veggie of choice} in smaller pieces to allow you to make clean lines for your top triangle. **Make sure you have a tray large enough and start with a small triangle.
Step 2: Arrange a line of yellow pepper {or yellow veggie of choice}. I like using the peppers here because they can have straight edges.
Step 3: Create another line with green veggies. The snap peas work well here for the linear shape.
Step 4: Create a final green strip with cucumber rounds cut in half with the cut side down. This keeps them from rolling away and allows another straight edge.
Step 5: Cut your yellow tomatoes in half and arrange 2 columns for one leg and 2 columns for another leg equally spaced from the edges. Then top your legs with a third column of tomatoes to cover the seams in the middle of each.
Step 6: Slice black olives in half and arrange into pointed shoes. You will need to trim the olives down as each shoe reaches the point in order to keep the shape.
Serve Your Christmas Veggie Tray
Once your veggies are all arranged you can accent your Christmas tray with a red pepper “feather”, meat and cheese “snowflakes”, and a small dish of Ranch Dressing.
This fun tray makes the perfect addition to a Buddy the Elf Christmas party. You can see more ideas for an Elf Movie Party here.
