Strawberry Donuts
Ingredients
- ¼ c. unsalted butter melted at room temp
- ¼ c. vegetable oil
- ¾ c. sugar
- 2 large eggs room temp
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. milk
- 2 ½ all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 c. fresh strawberries hull removed and diced
Glaze
- 2 c. powdered icing sugar
- ½ c. milk
Instructions
Donuts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Spray your donut pans with a non-stick baking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, add together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir to combine. Set to the side.
- In a separate bowl, add the milk, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.
- Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined. Add a bit of red food coloring if desired to be more of a colorful donut.
- Add your strawberries and fold into the batter.
- Spoon batter into donut pan.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes.
Glaze
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
- Place a piece of foil under the wire rack with the donuts to catch any glaze.
- Pour your glaze from the bowl onto the donuts.
