    Disney Theme Haunted Mansion Office

Today I’m sharing an awesome office designed by my dear friend Donna as a special surprise for her husband, Michael. Donna and I met years ago when I lived in Southern California and have been great friends ever since. Make sure to check out her cute party website, Party Wishes or Facebook page for more pictures of this amazing Haunted Mansion Office and other great DIY ideas. Here’s what Donna has to say about her dazzling design:

Check out the simple DIY ideas on Design Dazzle.I have been collecting Disney’s Haunted Mansion memorabilia for over 16 years in hopes of having a Haunted Mansion themed room in my house one day. Michael works very hard for our family and spends countless hours in his home office so I knew it would be the perfect anniversary gift to redecorate his space.

Michael left for 5 days on a trip to Washington DC and it was a great time for the makeover. Hahnco did an amazing job on all of the wainscoting, stretching portrait frames and ceiling molding in one day. Henry Sammeter, who has been wallpapering for our family for almost 45 years, did a great job hanging the hand printed Victorian styled wallpaper that matches the paper that hangs in the Haunted Mansion.

I helped an electrician install the new gold and crystal chandelier. Since I removed Michael’s ceiling fan, I replaced it with a Victorian-inspired tall floor standing fan I got from Victorian Trading Company.

I bought on ebay a replica front gate plaque and an authentic piece of ironwork that hung on the Haunted Mansion.

I bought the stretching portraits in 1999 for $180 total for all 4. Today, the framed prints start at $3500 each IF you can find them!

The marble-topped antique buffet and mirror were purchased at a garage sale in September along with a Victorian head and foot board for $100 total. The rug and chenille curtains have been in the office for 12 years awaiting the rest of the decor. My lovely friend, Andrea Lemus, gave me authentic Haunted Mansion drapery tie backs for my 50th birthday in January.

I had such a fun time finally pulling out all of the other items that we have been collecting over the years to bring this room to life! Michael and I love the room…another dream come true!

Surprising your loved ones by doing something special is such a fun project that everyone will love. I love that Donna created this awesome office for her hard working hubby. She went all out and it definitely paid off! Thanks for sharing, Donna! I hope you all loved this office tour as much as I did!
