On Monday, May 16th, we’re asking everyone to see the documentary, “The Abolitionists.” You can make a difference in the life of a child. Seriously. Watch the movie. Learn about the problem of sex trafficking in our country and around the world. 15% of ticket proceeds go directly to saving children.
What is this movie?
“The Abolitionists” is a movie about sex trafficking. It was produced by the producer of Schlinders List and Jurassic Park. I’m not going to lie. It’s an intense movie to watch. Most people have no idea how big of a problem sex trafficking really is in the world and also here in the US. Right here in our own country! We can all help. This movie is EMPOWERING!!! You have the power to help.

So what’s the movie really about? Former Special Agent Tim Ballard has spent over a decade rescuing children from child sex tourism both domestically and overseas before founding his own organization, https://www.ourrescue.org, and saving the children that fall out of the purview of the US. This is the story about the lost children and the attempt to investigate and liberate them from around the world.

In the past two years of existence, O.U.R. has rescued
521 victims and arrested more than 161 traffickers around the world.
We exist to rescue children from sex trafficking.

I’m passing along to you the International Justice Mission website https://www.ijm.org/ for your hope that another entity is out there helping and making a difference. This subject can tear out our hearts but thank God there are people out there like you to work to ‘abolish it’!
