Hi everyone! I’m Rose Marie from Home Confetti and I’m so very excited to be participating in Design Dazzle’s Christmas Wonderful! Funny, the last time I was here for Summer Camp I did a craft using a plastic milk jug that you can see here–and this time I am using a plastic milk jug AGAIN, but to make a cute snowman for your front porch. As a mom of 7-year old twin girls who love to craft, I am always looking for ways they can contribute to our holiday decor without breaking the bank. This craft is easy for them to do, and is a fun way to personalize the front porch.
First, rinse out and remove all labels from a plastic, gallon sized milk jug. I used an exacto knife and “Goo Gone” to remove the labels. I even cut out off the cap rim at the top.
Decide which side will be used for the face. Then, turn it around, and with an exacto knife, cut out the back of the jug. Once the back is cut out, wipe away any water. Your string of lights will be tucked into this cutout.
Once it’s all cleaned out and cut, you can add the snowman faces. I used black cardstock for the eyes, smile and hat. I cut the nose from an orange foam sheet. A sparkled chenille stem and poms were used for the ear muffs. I stuck everything on with glue dots.
Place your snowmen outside, tuck a string of lights into the backs and turn them on! 🙂

Happy holidays!
