Deb, Sherri and I are fourth generation southern California girls, snow was something we didn’t experience unless we went on vacation with family friends at their cabin in the San Bernardino mountains. My first white Christmas came when we spent the holiday season with family in a small ski resort town. I have to admit that having a storm come in and leave a fresh layer of powdery white snow really did add a magical element to Christmas! Warm hot cocoa or Wassail taste so much better when you come from the snow! We are here from TGIF. Come visit us.
My kids loved sledding, having snow ball fights, building snowmen, and as they got older skiing and snowboarding became their favorites. Do I love the snow enough to live in it? Nope, I’d take the beach over snow any day!
This DIY Sparkle Snow from Crystal at Growing a Jeweled Rose is the next best thing to real snow, it’s quick, easy and inexpensive to make. The texture is incredibly light and fluffy, it can be formed into perfect snowballs that hold their shape.
If you have never visited Growing a Jeweled Rose you should head on over. Crystal has 14 different categories with over 1,000 fun and educational activities for kids of all ages. Crystal’s blog is my go to place whenever I’m looking for an activity to do with my granddaughter.
