Christmas Wonderful: Christmas Countdown Candy Jars

hi! i’m kimbo! i blog over at a girl and a glue gun. and i’m super excited to be here! i am a mom to three kids–and once december hits…we SURE get excited for christmas!

Usually, each year i buy my kids a candy calendar that has a piece of chocolate to countdown the days before christmas…

but this year i thought i would make my own! (and the store that sold them went out of business)

    Christmas Countdown Candy Jars
they are stinkin easy…i bought this jar for about $5 from walmart…. (but then i decided to do one for all my sisters and ended up using a mason jar, a pickle jar, and a large prego spaghetti sauce jar!)(you could also use smaller jars and do personalized for each kid!)
I hoped on my silhouette cameo and designed some vinyl
and added all the good stuff (i have three kids…so i counted out 24 pieces for each kid)
    which is…24 x 3…..i would do the math..but i can’t find my phone! lol
then i just peeled and stuck my vinyl! i used dry erase vinyl to keep track of the days
then i made one using chalkboard vinyl (i buy my vinyl HERE in case you were wondering!)
but then i thought….what if you don’t have a vinyl cutter? (you should if you don’t. I LOVE MINE)
so I hopped on picmonkey and made some easy printables for you!
they are all HERE on my blog
you just pick one..and print out.
you can laminate them and use a dry erase marker on them…

Then i added cute fabric on top…and even spray painted the jar with sparkles

the possibilities are really endless! you could add a package of oreos or cookies…or whatever is your favorite christmas treat!

and if you are not a candy fan (is there really anyone out there that is not a fan of candy?)
you could put fun activities to do in there this christmas with your kids.

now my kids are ready to do a proper countdown until Christmas!!!!

here’s some of my other advent ideas (remember when i said we get REALLY excited for christmas!)

    1. painted advent wall hanging

    2. 24 christmas stories

    3. activities to do this christmas season

thanks so much for having me design dazzle!!!!
