Hi Design Dazzle readers! I’m Randi and I blog at Dukes and Duchesses! I’m so thrilled to be sharing in the Christmas Wonderful series. Christmas really is a wonderful time of year and so magical through the eyes of a child. I love making the everyday moments special and this melting snowman sundae is a sweet and simple way to add a little magic to a party, a playdate, or just a regular afternoon.
To make each snowman, you’ll need: a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a spoonful of marshmallow fluff, mini Reese’s Pieces or M&M’s, one candy corn {not pictured}, and peanut butter cups.
These melting snowman sundaes are so easy to assemble that you could use them as a party activity and let each child make their own. You could also prepare a bunch of them in advance and place them on a cookie sheet in your freezer.
To begin, spread a spoonful of marshmallow fluff over a plate {to look like a puddle of melting snow}.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream …
… and top it with an upside-down peanut butter cup.
Use the candy to add two eyes ..
… then trim the candy corn into a carrot shape and stick it into the middle of the snowman’s face. If you’re allowing children to make their own sundaes, you’ll want to help with this step to avoid a trip to the ER.
The melting snowman sundae looks super cute just like that …
… but if you have time before it starts melting, you can add a candy smile as well. That way he’ll look a little happier as he melts away!
Simple and sweet, right? This little sundae will add to the fun of the holiday season without adding to the stress.
