Strawberry Donuts

Servings 14 donuts


  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter melted at room temp
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temp
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 ½ all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. fresh strawberries hull removed and diced


  • 2 c. powdered icing sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. Spray your donut pans with a non-stick baking spray.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Stir to combine. Set to the side.

  5. In a separate bowl, add the milk, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.

  6. Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined. Add a bit of red food coloring if desired to be more of a colorful donut.

  7. Add your strawberries and fold into the batter.

  8. Spoon batter into donut pan.

  9. Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes.


  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.

  2. Place a piece of foil under the wire rack with the donuts to catch any glaze.

  3. Pour your glaze from the bowl onto the donuts.
