This wood banner tutorial is just adorable! For the last ten years or so there has been a definite trend of putting baby’s name on the nursery wall. Krystal from Sassy Sanctuary knew she wanted to put a wood pennant banner on the nursery wall. She says, “The only problem is that this baby doesn’t have a name yet. (We are having a really hard time in the name department this go around!) So what else can you have a banner say? The alphabet! I collected 26 of their pennants and headed home to get to work.”
Fox Hollow fabric by Monalu has a woodland themed alphabet that coordinated with the rest of the fabrics that Krystal used in the nursery. She copied the fabric and painted the alphabet onto the pennants. If painting isn’t your thing, you could try mod-podging fabric letters to the wood or covering the pennants with scrapbook paper and topping with vinyl letters.
Paint the wood pennant to match the fabric. Cover with a coat of sealer to finish the pennants and you’re ready to hang! Make sure to visit here for the complete tutorial.
