Meta from One More Mushroom did a wonderful job transforming a bedroom in a vintage craftsman home into a space that serves as a play area, gallery and sleep area for 2 terrific little boys! What I like about this Vintage Outdoorsy Boys Room is that Meta worked with the existing design elements to create a summer camp feeling. This has all the fun of vintage cabin camping without the insects and dirt! Meta says, “The inspiration for Anders and Oliver’s room came from the outdoors, particularly vintage Boys Scouts mixed with bright colors of greens, reds and blues.”How cool is this? The white bins work wonderfully for toy storage. The tent is a place for dreaming, security and imaginative play. The gallery wall showcases artwork that the family already owned plus a selection of sepia toned vintage photographs to help with the outdoor/vintage theme. Meta says, “The art in a child’s room can elevate their room and make it feel like a room they can grow in to. By placing the art together in a gallery wall, the eye is immediately drawn to the art.”
Meta designed the beds to look similar to vintage cot beds.
Lantern lamp and tin cups to enhance the vintage camping feel!
The wood doors were painted with a kelly green chalkboard paint that Meta made.
Wall stickers and washi tape make these white storage bins super cute!
