Vanessa Merulla is a Graphic Designer and was excited to design and decorate her little boy Esteban’s nursery.
Vanessa shared about how she designed Esteban’s nursery using vibrant colors.
My husband and I wanted a bright, and colorful nursery for Esteban. A room where he could feel happy by just looking at it! More importantly, to be safe in it too. Since I’m a graphic and web designer (Vanesa Merulla Design), I was able to be the one who designed his nursery. I picked 3 colors (blue, orange, and green) and started to work with them.
Another important aspect of Esteban’s room is the fact that I could use certain elements very important to my husband and I (part of our heritage). For instance, the baseball cards’ frame belonged to my husband, and the “Little House on the Prairie” books to me. I also was able to knit every piece you see in it. My grandma taught me how to do knit when I was seven, and I know she’d be so proud of me today! All the art has also been created by me in honor to my son!
The most rewarding part of having done his nursery is seeing Esteban enjoy it every day. He sits in his monster chair to read, or picks his stuff animals, or simply looks at himself in the pictures and says “me, me.” I feel blessed to have been able to do it myself and continue to do things for him to grow up in a happy and healthy environment.”
Thanks for sharing this sweet nursery with us!
