We have a friend who has installed a small rope swing in the basement / play area of their house. At first I thought it was a little silly, until I took my children there, and then I realized it was pure genius!! Swing Away!!
My children were in heaven! To have the ability to swing, indoors, is actually quite a fun concept. Perfect for all-weather play and such an unexpected twist to a bedroom or playroom.
So today I wanted to move a little beyond a basic rope swing and show you some super fun and creative ways to incorporate a swing into a child’s bedroom or play room.

Different height swings with a large pillow underneath! How creative is that!?

Tree Swing from Decor Made Simple.
I love the creativity of incorporating the tree mural along with an actual tire swing.

Use a swing like this makes a comfy reading nook from Vosges Paris.
This would be great for kids, teens and adults!

Use a porch swing inside from The Nest.
This would be great for kids of all ages.

I love this bright green round swing in this small scale bedroom.
You don’t need a large room in order to have a swing!

You can even incorporate a swing into family space.
This would be great for kids to play while the adults visit with each other and it also makes for a great conversation piece!

I love this kids reading nook!

What a great idea, a bean bag hammock! This looks so super comfy!
I don’t have an indoor swing, but with my kids getting older and living in a place where the winters are long and cold, I think it could be a really fun idea!
Do you have an indoor swing?

Toni, I do not have an indoor swing; however swinging was one of my favorite joys as a child.
