I sometimes steer clear of really deep wall colors because I’m worried they will make a room look dark and unwelcoming. This Navy Baby Boom designed by Molly from The Nesting Game proves my preconceptions wrong – it’s a light, airy and welcoming room. The white roman shades on the windows fall in beautiful folds like a waterfall. The yellow on the ottoman and the rug add a sunny element to the room. The whites and brights really pop against the dark backdrop of the navy walls. But what really makes this room fantastic for me are the gorgeous floral pillows. I love the vivid colors on the pillows. They seem to bring the room to life. The wall color is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy.
The pillow that I love so much is covered in Waverly Santa Maria Desert fabric.
Other than the pillow fabric, this is a gender-neutral room. Molly designed this room to work for a boy or a girl but picked the pillow fabric as something special to make her smile. It’s nice to be able to make a nursery with a bed for mom or dad on those late nights!
The white star over the bed breaks up the dark wall color of the room which helps to give the room appeal.
