The Mayflower ship centerpiece was created by Beth from The stories of A to Z for her darling Thanksgiving tablescape! Her kids thought it was a pirate ship: ) What I love most about this table setting – it’s so kid friendly. For holiday dinners – some families have kids sit at the “kids” table and table decorations can sometimes be forgotten about.
Beth saw a similar Mayflower in a Pottery Barn photo. She describes the process of making the centerpiece, “I took an old basket off the shelf, stuffed some floral foam in the bottom, took some scraps of drop cloth, glued them to sticks, stuck them in the foam, and ta-da…a Mayflower.”
Thanks Beth! I love that your family sits at a Thanksgiving table for the month of November!
