This Fun & Funky Girls Room is full of fabulous details. It’s got stripes, chevrons, lights, brights, ruffles and patterns that all work together to create a funky, fun and inviting space. Allison from Two Thirty-Five Designs designed this room for her 6 year old daughter. Allison made one comment on her blog that really stuck with me. She said, “I think for most of us DIY’ers, nothing is ever finished, but if there is a chance that the toys are semi picked up, you have to snap a few pics.” I love how she is keeping it real! Kids rooms are more than just decorated spaces — they are for living! Kids room designs need to incorporate room for storage and room for play. This room looks amazing! And I’m so glad to know that her daughter is using and loving the space.
Allison is not big on symmetry so she set the bunk bed off to one side which creates more useable space in the room.
I love how this room has so many individual areas.
There is a hideaway under the bunk bed and a cozy reading nook in addition to the open play area in front of the bed.
That’s one gorgeous rug!
Allison opted for an armoire instead of a dresser for more storage.
Christmas lights are woven into the chair stand to provide lighting in lieu of a table lamp. So creative and super funky!
