This fish bowl jello will definitely add color and character to your fun-filled birthday or pool party or just for a cool thing to make with your kiddos this summer! It’s easy for kids to make and you can even add sharks for a edible craft for shark week. Shark week has been going on for for many years on Discover channel. It starts either in July or August.
This fish bowl jello desert is super easy and quick to make but the key is to layer the jello. The multi-colored nerd candies gets sealed with a thin layer of jello so it doesn’t bleed into the entire jello bowl.
The jello should be quite thick before pouring into the fish bowl.
You even have the option to make an alcoholic or non-alcoholic version.
Ingredients For Alcohol Aquarium Jello:
- 1 packet of unflavored gelatin
- 1 3.5-ounce box of blue Kool-Aid
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 cup hot water
- 3 ounces raspberry vodka
- 3 ounces blue curacao
- Chunky sprinkles or Nerd candy. Any candy that would look like aquarium gravel is perfect!
- Swedish Gummy Fish
- Gummy Sharks – the jello should be more of a green/blue so the sharks stand out and don’t blend in.
- Small glass aquarium or fishbowl (I found mine t the Dollar Store, but you can also find them in any pet store aquarium section.)
Ingredients For Non-Alcohol Aquarium Jello:
- 1 packet of unflavored gelatin
- 1 3.5-ounce box of blue Kool-Aid
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 cup hot water
