Hi Everyone! I’m Mandy from Sugar Bee Crafts and I’m super excited to be here with a project that combines two awesome summer activities – crafts and reading! I have a great Felt Bow Bookmark project – cute and simple, just how I like!
The bookmarks use paper clips to slide into the book, then the bow sits cutely on top, marking the spot:
First you’re going to make a felt bow. I have a great video tutorial on that:
But as you construct the bow, you’ll need to modify the final steps. First you’ll need Jumbo Paper Clips – –
Then as you’re wrapping around the middle piece that holds the loops and tails together, first slide it into the paper clip as shown below. Then attach the tail to the back of the bow as normal, securing with hot glue.
That’s all there is to it! Kiddos can make a bunch, all in their favorite colors. Then they can take a crafting break to read – and enjoy their creation all over again!
We have really been enjoying these fun Felt Bow Bookmarks!
Thanks for having me here at Summer Camp! Be sure to pop over to my blog, Sugar Bee Crafts to see more awesome craft tutorials.
