I’ve had a love for balloons for as long as I can remember! I owned a candy shop for many years where we sold balloons! Valentines and birthdays kept us hopping with inflating balloons!! My kids woke up to dozens of balloons in their bedrooms, balloons at birthdays and balloons just because I was thinking of them (one of the perks of having easy access to balloons).
Wanting to do a fun balloon project, I purchased a Balloon Time helium tank at Target for only $21.99. Wal-Mart, Party City, Kmart, Toys R Us, Michaels Arts and Crafts and many more stores carry the Balloon Time helium tank. They have different sizes depending on how many balloons you need to inflate. Because of the their portable small tank, Balloon Time also makes it easy access to having helium balloons whenever you need them. It is very easy to use and the tank is fully recyclable.
The kit included the helium tank, 30 latex balloons and white curling ribbon. I inflated about 22 balloons with helium. The tank had more helium available – a few more balloons could have been done.
It’s super easy to inflate balloons with the tank. Just turn the knob to turn “on” the helium. Place the balloon on the nozzle and press down on the nozzle. The balloon starts to slowly inflate and is finished in a few seconds. I sat on the couch and watched “Chopped” while inflating the balloons.
I decided to create a special surprise for a teen who lives next door to me. She is so sweet and kind and has such a lovely disposition. I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a bunch of balloons in her bedroom. Attached to each balloon was a handwritten note. We wrote about 24 notes with sweet thoughts and kind words all about her! I think anyone would enjoy reading positive and lovely things about themselves. This was a secret so don’t tell! : ) : )
I only had to walk next door to deliver the balloons. But it was a windstorm and the balloons got completely tangled. So I created a bouquet of balloons instead of placing 22 balloons all around her room. My hubby was helping me and took this photo. I was holding on to the balloons for dear life.
Her family was in on the secret, led me to her room and I placed the “wind bouquet” in her room. I really wanted to place the balloons individually all around the room. Too bad for windy, windy days!
Her mom mentioned she loved the surprise.
What can you think to use balloons for? So many ideas for celebrating everyday moments with balloons! Would you like to create your own special moments with balloons?
