When I think of baseball I think of watching a game while enjoying hot dogs, lemonade, popcorn, peanuts, ad of course, Cracker Jacks! Michelle from Chalkboard Blue captured all of my baseball favorites with a Baseball Party for her 16 year old son, McKay. She says, “We kept it small, just our family & Grandmas and Grandpas. We went with a Ball Park dinner as if we were at the Ball Park! Our Outdoor Entertaining Cabinet was the Perfect spot for the party setup!”
Michelle painted a backdrop with chalkboard paint and posted 3 recent pictures of her son in action. She then added a fun pennant that she made using burlap and old denim
She even tucked some special baseball momentos in the pocket!
Perfect baseball cupcakes decorated with Red Hots!
Stencilled baseballs. “Why?”, you ask. Well it seems that the birthday boy has a little habit. Michelle says, “McKay for years has loved to write his name in secret locations all over our house. Some of his locations have been Under the counter, on shelves I’ve built, moulding along the windows, and I seriously found one on the hem of the Bathroom shower curtain Liner in tiny print! He loves it! It’s like a game for him to have us find his Name somewhere! So I had to take the opportunity to get him Back! I made a stencil on the Silhouette and put it on some Baseballs! Ha! Got him back! “
I love how Michelle made her teen son feel special with a small family party that captured his love of baseball!
