Strawberry Donuts

Servings: 14 donuts

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. unsalted butter melted at room temp
  • ¼ c. vegetable oil
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temp
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 ½ all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 c. fresh strawberries hull removed and diced

Glaze

  • 2 c. powdered icing sugar
  • ½ c. milk

Instructions

Donuts

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Spray your donut pans with a non-stick baking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir to combine. Set to the side.
  • In a separate bowl, add the milk, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.
  • Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined. Add a bit of red food coloring if desired to be more of a colorful donut.
  • Add your strawberries and fold into the batter.
  • Spoon batter into donut pan.
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes.

Glaze

  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
  • Place a piece of foil under the wire rack with the donuts to catch any glaze.
  • Pour your glaze from the bowl onto the donuts.
