Times have changed. Gone are the days when pastel colors and cute little animals were the only nursery options. Nowadays you can go wild with your geometric patterns and strong, bold colors as seen in this fun Chevron honeycomb bee nursery put together by Amy of Positively Splendid. Amy says, “Completely by accident, I found myself gravitating toward a bee theme in the nursery. My inspiration came from the fact that we didn’t know what baby George was going to “bee” until the day of his arrival, and I thought a bee motif would work regardless of whether the baby turned out to be a boy or a girl.”
The honeycomb nursery canvas idea combines the bee motif with an alphabet sampler.
The lantern and tissue paper pom pom mobile adds such great color and height to the room. I bet Amy’s little guy finds it entrancing.
Amy took a regular lamp from adequate to amazing by painting the base and the shade. The antique dresser makes a great changing area. You can find instructions and shopping details on Amy’s blog, Positively Splendid.
