Hoggy Holidays Christmas Party Table

Not Just A Mommy

Hi everyone! This is Dawn from Not Just A Mommy and I’m so thrilled to be back again for Christmas Wonderful.  Last year I brought you a Mrs. Claus and Santa’s Mustache Bash and this year, I’m wishing you Hoggy Holidays!

Hoggy Holidays Christmas Party Table

When it comes to holiday planning and decorating, you would be surprised where you can find inspiration.  I’m always looking for fun and unique twists when it comes to my party themes.  This all started when I found the cute piggy plates from Dollar Tree.  Then the pun began and it turned into a great Christmas theme that is fun for kids of all ages.

Don’t be afraid to step outside of the traditional color box…if you want to do red and green, give it a fresh, modern coat with neon green.  I found this great chevron gift wrap paper at Hobby Lobby.  I love that it’s oversized so it makes a perfect table cover and backdrop.

When I was contacted by SweetWorks to have some fun with their candy, I knew a candy centerpiece would be perfect for the season. It isn’t a full-fledged candy buffet, but I love my decorations to do double duty…you can send the candy home with guests! I filled my jars with Celebration by SweetWorks shimmer white, red and lime green Sixlets and bright pink,  lime green and red gumballs.

I wrapped this little piggy with ribbon and hot glued on a little embellishment.  And yes, the ornaments are filled with sprinkles!  It’s a wonderful way to add details on a dime.

I love to make my young guests feel extra fancy on their level…layering paper plates for a charger look and wood place settings are inexpensive ways to do just that.

Yes, that is an ornament! Head over to my blog for the easy how-to.

Who needs fancy napkin rings when a curly cue twist of pipe cleaner is just as fabulous?

Hoggy Holidays Christmas Party Table piggy capsule

My favorite part was making my little piggy capsules.  I purchased pink capsules from Bake It Pretty and filled them with hot pink Sixlets, then added the paper details and drew on the eyes with a permanent marker.

What is Christmas without cookie decorating?  This year, I decided to save myself a little work and purchased cookies from a local bakery. Did you know that SweetWorks makes tiny pearls that are perfect for topping cookies, cupcakes and other baked goods?  I set out their shimmer bright pink, white, lime green and red pearls along with my piggy sprinkles for easy and fun toppings.

My other favorite part are these adorable fondant toppers from Candy Covers.  When I saw them featured in Grey Grey Designs’ Three Little Pigs party, I knew I must have them. I contacted Faith and she graciously sent me a set, perfectly packaged and even more adorable in person. I’ve never ordered fondant toppers before and was shocked they arrived unsquashed and perfect.

It only takes a few small details to make a party feel special.  I hope you have been inspired to have a little fun with your holiday decorating this year.  If your party focus is for New Year’s, I’m having a sweet giveaway of  lots of SweetWorks candy and party decor.

I was provided candy samples free of charge by SweetWorks and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.

This is absolutely brilliant! I love every little detail – I don’t know where to start! First of all, pink and green is my favorite color combination so that stood out right away. The drinks, the cupcakes, the treats…and those piggy capsules – adorable!
