Valentines Candy Factory Party

Want a new idea for an old favorite? For Sarah from Confetti Sunshine (any many others I’m sure!) Valentine’s Day is all about boxes of chocolate. Sarah created a fun party idea centered around a box of chocolates, with a twist!

Welcome to a Valentines Candy Factory party!

The factory sign was a fun DIY that Sarah created. I love the way it looks hanging above the table. You can find all the details on how to make your own here. The center of the table is filled with bowls of the chocolate fillings, a little candy to snack on, and a bunch of mini cupcake liners. The table runner was made by cutting fringe into strips of pink plastic table cloth. She also cut down some of the pink plastic table cloth to make chair ties.

At each place setting she placed a printable heart placemat, a silicon heart shaped ice cube tray (found at the dollar section at Target), and a little glassine bag filled with candy. On the very top she taped a monogrammed circle to the bag.

The guests each got a heart adorned apron to help with their candy making. To make the chocolates, Sarah helped the guests line the hearts with a thin layer of chocolate. Once the chocolate had set, the guests got to choose from different fillings – coconut cream, chocolate fudge, & cookie dough. You can find the recipes she used here. They stuffed their chocolates and then they covered the fillings with some more chocolate.

After the chocolates were all made and set, they gently popped them out and each guest got to choose an arrangement of cute mini cupcake liners to hold their chocolates.  Then they stuffed invitation boxes with 12 chocolate hearts.

What a darling idea for a Valentine’s Day party! As Sarah said, “This was such a fun party! I like this party so much, we are going to be doing it again in just a few weeks for a preschool event we are hosting – and I can’t wait! There is something special about making your own chocolates for the ones you love on Valentines!” So true!

Thanks so much for sharing your sweet Valentine’s Day party with us Sarah! For more details on how to make the cute aprons, fringe table runner, tons of other ideas and sweet as can be Valentine’s Day printables, head over to Sarah’s blog, Confetti Sunshine and check out the goodness!
