Astronaut Birthday Party

I am amazed with what Sara from Sara Westbrook Photography did with this amazing astronaut party she threw for her son! She incorporated simple astronaut party activities (like bottle rockets and time capsules) that are great for kids, and tied them into the theme perfectly. What a great way to make your little boy feel special in such a creative way.
The design of these invitations are so clever. The writing on the side of the moon says, “Turning four is one small step for man, but one giant party for mankind.” I don’t know about you, but I thought that was hilarious!

This DIY space shuttle would be great for an astronaut party, but also for your kids in general. Use it as a play house, hideout, or a “space simulator” that can keep kids entertained for hours.

Moon rocks make for fun playtime for kids. Spray paint rocks silver and let the kids enjoy playing with them.

Sometimes the simplest things can be the most fun – bubble wrap on a roll.
This cake really steals the show. It really does look like a moon, and the action figure on top is a great touch.

Sara, you are so talented! Check out more awesome astronaut party ideas to see.
